Genesis of the House of PJ

Hi, I am very happy to see you at my House of PJ.

I am not sure what the words PJ stand for ... maybe for "Poor Jokes", "Premium Jokes" or just my initials PJG !!..but I adopted it as it sounded different...

I have always loved telling jokes...I still recall my Mom's horror of watching me narrate a rather explicit jokes to all my Uncles at the age 10 or 11. Putting it mildly, received a severe reprimand later on...To be honest, at that time I had know idea of the import of the joke.

The narration of jokes did not stop but the audience became selective :-) .

The NET era really caught on in the mid nineties and the jokes came flooding in the mails. Tons of them were crap.

It was then that it struck me to hunt for jokes that are subtle, sophisticated and of course humorous. There should be  NO explicit language or obscenity. No demeaning humor based on race, nationality, profession or physical attributes.

Just Clean and Good Humor.

I would hunt down various sites looking for "Pearl Jokes" and mail it to my near and dear ones. The ones whom I would like to be in touch with and keep contact.

The whole idea was to bring a smile on their faces.

This started sometime in 1999...with just four friends Rajan, Jiten, Vini and Joju. The mailing list NOW..has more than 70 dear ones (Am I not lucky ?)

The jokes collection was becoming bigger and there were new additions to the mailing list who had not have access to the earlier humor.

So I learnt to make and post a website from Reena (my wife) and made it for them and anyone who runs into it...maybe someone like you.
